OK everyone .... I've put this one together and I hope you enjoy it. This one was very nice. I was in the right place at the right time. My only regret was that it goes by so fast. I've slowed it down as much as I could.

As you go down this blog you'll see how things have changed. The short videos are really shrunk down and are much better off this forum. The pic's I use have been reduced to 800 x 800 and they look very nice and still show a lot of detail. The shorts of the dam and the river lose so much detail that you miss most of the fun. There are people in the river on a boat, cars up and down the boat ramp on the WV side. You really have to look very close and you'll see things, very small things. I've tried to get better uploads on you tube but they are about the same. You'll have to wait till I get them put on a CD with better editing...

We had a very busy weekend. Sunday was very buzzy around here. I had some helpers come out to the house and give the hill side a "hair cut". With all my back problems, the grounds around the house have become very shabby and overgrown. As you all know, it takes a lot of time to get the yard work done. Not to mention all the heavy lifting. I had two good helpers come out and clear off the big stuff off the hill that I would never be able to get by myself. Here is the 5 hours reduced to only 22 seconds.
Please forgive the music..... I'm having trouble finding background music that sounds good with fast moving things.
Now keep in mind ... these small movies do not have very good quality. the ones on the computer are much larger.

This is the newest cut of the Time Lapse I'm working on.

I've managed to get them edited together and add some music. It's still a bit choppy and the music could be better. Oh well .... I think it's OK...

I had three people stop and ask why I'm sitting there taking pictures of the sky. It took some talking but I think they understood what I was up to. It takes hours and hours of taking the same picture over and over again. Then run it through a program that takes all the shots and makes a video clip out of them. The hard part for me... Getting the music on the same track as the pics. I think I'll get the hang of it with a bit more practice.

The Windows are wonderful to see. The colors change as the sun moves around the outside of the cathedral.

From the National Cathedral

This one is not a gargoyle, I just thought it look good. I like the eagle.

There are many gargoyles on the National cathedral. Here are just a few of them. I plan to make another trip down to DC and try and photograph as many of them as I can. Clickcl

A bus trip to DC and the National Cathedral

These are a few shots from the Shrine.

We took a bus trip to Washington. Went to both the National Cathedral and the Catholic Shrine. Had a wonderful day and the weather could not have been better. The shrine was first. Very showy and glitters with tons of gold. I've been there one time before, but this was the first time with a guide who explained lots of things to us.

The cathedral was next. This is the place I had my conformation. I love this place. It was the first time I've every been behind the transept and up into the high alter. there was a pipe organ demonstration where he played three wonderful pieces of music.

I'll try and cram as many pic's as I can here. It may take some time to scroll through all of them. It was a wonderful day !

Flowers in the Pond..... Well it's only a big horse tub...

I can get really close up and still have some focus.

Clouds over The Potomac & a sunrise thru the trees.

This was the first time using the new camera. These two short attemps took over 4 hour to complete. Over 500 photographes. Putting them together was the easy part of the process. The next thing I have to learn is how to add some music. They have a better look on the computer then here on this small screen, but you can get the idea.

I have houndres of new pics to upload. Time has been moving very fast this summer. I guess thing will have to calm down this winter so I can get in here and add some things.

Hope your summer has been lots of fun.

I'll be back soon!
